Dozen top high school athletes to be inducted

Lahainaluna football and wrestling standout Lake Casco will join older brothers Kawika and Kainoa to become the first three siblings to be inducted into the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Foundation Hall of Honor.
Casco and 11 other senior athletes were chosen to be inducted into the Hall of Honor Class of 2008 by a 15-member committee.
The other inductees are:
Each inductee will receive a $2,000 college scholarship. Proceeds from the dinner will go toward the HHSAA Foundation, which helps supplement the costs of 32 state championship events.
Primary consideration was given to athletic achievement, but other factors included academics, character and school/community service.
Traffic Alert
A parade through Waikiki will be held starting at 5 p.m. today. However, drivers still will be able to get to the hotel via Lewers Street, which will be converted to a two-way street during the parade. Drivers traveling east on Ala Moana Boulevard can turn right onto Kalia Road. Continue on Kalia and turn left on Lewers then right onto Don Ho Street, which is the entrance to the Sheraton parking.
