Suspects in Palolo home invasion identified

Advertiser Staff

Two suspects in a home invasion robbery in Palolo early Sunday have been identified as:

• Jordan K. Artuyo, 18, of no local address.

• Justin Lono, 28, of a Tantalus Drive address.

Each was arrested on one count of first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and six counts of kidnapping.

Two other suspects remain at large.

The invasion took place shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday, with four men wielding sawed-off shotguns, handguns and knives entering the home on the 2000 block of 10th Avenue.

The men tied up its seven college-age occupants and demanded drugs and money, police said. They fled with cash, cell phones and a laptop computer.

The residents of the home are unrelated. Four suffered minor injuries, including lacerations and knife puncture wounds. They were taken to a hospital by friends and were released Sunday.

Police said the occupants of the house did not know the suspects.

Police launched a massive from the air and on the ground with Specialized Services Division officers and canine units.

One of the suspects was found hiding behind rocks on the hillside behind the home. The other suspect turned himself in to police at the scene.
