PRETTY, FABULOUS
New at Bamboo Sky: floral headbands and rings by Maui designer Mona Lisa, who's been creating floral hair accessories since 1992, inspired by her grandmother, who passed along the tradition of wiring flowers in her hair and the art of Geisha hair ornaments. Mona Lisa's items are handmade in Maui, using 80 percent recycled brass and vintage collectible buttons, and 10 percent of proceeds is donated to charity, including the Surfrider Foundation and the American Heart Association. We thought just one was cute, but then Summer Shiigi (pictured here) layered the butterfly headband with a floral headband and it looked really cool! Headbands are $62; rings are $44. SALES & BARGAINS
• Have you ever walked into a boutique and the vibe was just right? Well, at Bamboo Sky on Kamake'e, the reception is as warm as a summer's day. Natural light enhances the decor of this romantic, shabby-meets-Victorian chic spot. Owners/ newlyweds Tiffany and Shane Breeden have a diverse background in the retail biz. Shane's parents started Royal Hawaiian Heritage Jewelry more than 35 years ago and, while living in L.A., Tiffany earned her degree in fashion design. The mash-up of her keen eye for style and his business savvy makes this local couple a dynamic fashion duo. If it's time to reinvent your personal style, it shall begin here. Work the swanky shoes, slinky cocktail dresses, girly clutches and sparkly accessories. Don't bypass the sale rack, where they're offering an additional 50 percent off.
Bamboo Sky is jumping on the "Sex and the City 2" bandwagon as the movie opens this weekend, pulling together a few "SATC" themed looks.
Remember the opening scene of the series? Bamboo Sky found an updated version of Carrie's vintage tutu — a Moon Collection tulle and rhinestone skirt, $48. An Alythea one-shoulder mesh bloom top is $48. A must-have, ruffle bloom clutch is $66.
Check out the Miranda look (above): A paisley flutter-sleeve maxi dress, $106, hammered circlet necklace, $24, and gauzy plaid scarf, $24.

• We were the first to tell you about Zand Amsterdam skirts in February, and now, "ahhhh!!" (angels singing), Therapy Boutique has finally received a new shipment. More good news, these hip wrap-skirts come in two styles, micro mini and, now, just above the knee. This one-of-a-kind creation fits most gals because the snaps adjust to various sizing. They're made in Amsterdam and perfect for the on-the-go women of Hawai'i. Remember, you can rock these skirts over jeans, leggings or alone, in the office or out and about! Therapy Boutique, Kahala Mall; 732-2222.
• Carats and Karats really does have something for everyone. We found cute, little diamond earrings in 14K settings, perfect for add-ons for your second or third hole, only $49.95. MOROCCO MON AMOUR
Spectacular images on the "Sex and the City 2" posters place Morocco high on my list of "must see" places. Some of that mystery and spice translates into the growing buzz on Moroccanoil hair products. David Richer of Peggy's Salon swears by them, as do other stylists around Honolulu. The argan oil-infused line of products is also popular with celebrity stylist Orlando Pita.
As it happens, Moroccanoil is a major sponsor for Chic in the City, the benefit for breast cancer research that's capped with a private showing of "Sex and the City 2." The event's swag bags will include Moroccanoil samples.
Moroccanoil products sell for $24 to $104 at select salons; sometimes at a slight discount at Nordstrom Rack; find out more at www.moroccanoil.com.
Chic in the City is set for 7 p.m., Friday at Dole Ballrooms. Tickets: $65. Information and tickets: www.dreamonhi.com.
