Hawai'i Pacific senior Sherise Musquiz was named the Daktronics Division II West Region softball Co-Pitcher of the Year.

Musquiz, 28-2 with a 0.90 earned run average, was the only Hawai'i player named to the All-West Region first team. She has 100 strikeouts in 187 1/3 innings of work. She shared the pitcher of the year award with Lauren Hadenfeld of Central Washington.

Sophomore Maile Kim was selected to the second team. Kim has started every game for the Sea Warriors this season, hitting a team-high .372) with nine home runs.

HPU plays Chico State starting tomorrow in the best-of-three Super Regionals at Howard A. Okita Field on HPU's Hawaii Loa Campus.
