UH's Dwain Williams leaving men's basketball team

Dwain Williams, a 6-foot guard who played one tumultuous season with the University of Hawaii men's basketball team, announced that he will forgo his senior season in 2010-11 to pursue a professional basketball career.
"After meeting with Dwain, a decision came forth that he'll pursue his dream of professional basketball," said first-year head coach Gib Arnold.
"We'll miss his scoring ability and are grateful for his contributions to the program. We'll help Dwain any way we can and we wish him all the best."
Williams, who missed the final 13 games of the season while on suspension, played in 14 games with eight starts.
He averaged 14 points a game, including four games with 20 or more points.He scored in double figures nine times and led the team in scoring in five of his 14 games.
He had a UH career-high of 36 points on 8-18 shooting against Saint Mary's in Diamond Head Classic third-place game.
