Two who nearly drowned listed in critical condition
Two people were in critical condition yesterday following separate near drownings.
According to Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city's Emergency Services Department:
At 11 a.m. in Waikīkī, a man in his 70s was brought to shore, where lifeguards performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. He was later taken to a hospital by paramedics.
Then, at 1 p.m. at Hanauma Bay, a woman in her 30s was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation by lifeguards and was taken by paramedics to a trauma center.
