Annie Brophy said Monday that her scorecard was accurate, but she gave inaccurate scores to people posting the scores. She says she was trying to be funny.
Brophy was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct Saturday at the NCAA Central Regional tournament in Columbus, Ind.. She on the 14th hole.
Nancy Cross, chair of NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee, said because of the false scores some teams were forced to wait around thinking there might be a playoff.
