Moped driver in critical condition after Kaneohe accident

A Kaneohe man was in critical condition at The Queen's Medical Center after a Saturday afternoon collision on Kahekili Highway, police said.
According to a police report:
The 32-year-old man was heading south when he tried to make a U turn at the intersection of Kahekili and Ahiumanu Road at 3:50 p.m. Saturday.
A sedan driven by a 32-year-old Kaneohe woman that was heading south collided with the moped. The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the moped.
The woman and her passenger, a 15-year-old boy, were not injured.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
