H-1 crash in Waiawa injures 3, one critically, causing major traffic jam

Three people were injured, one critically, in a single-car crash Monday afternoon in Waiawa.
The incident occurred at about 2:50 p.m. in the east-bound lanes of H-1 Freeway near the H-2 Freeway merge. Police said the vehicle flipped at least once before coming to a rest.
A man who appears to be in his 30s was taken to the hospital in critical condition, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department. A woman, who appears to be in her 20s, and a girl, were in stable condition, Cheplic said.
The crash is causing a major traffic jam in both directions of the freeway.
