WAIPI'O — Simply dominating.

Recently, defending state champion Mililani has been a softball power, but the Trojans really outdid themselves last night against Castle in the final of the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red Conference tournament at Central O'ahu Regional Park.

The final score: Mililani 20, Castle 2, in five innings.

Trojans clean-up hitter Andi Felise led the onslaught by going 5 for 5 with two doubles, two homers and six RBIs.

"It's the OIA championships and I just wanted to perform to my level," said Felise, a senior first baseman. "It wanted to help my team out as much as I can."

Courtney Senas was 4 of 5 with two doubles, a homer, four runs scored and three RBIs, and Rebecca Lee batted 3 for 5 with two doubles and four RBIs for Mililani, which put the game away with a nine-run second inning.

"We got timely hits and everyone saw the ball really cleanly today and hit line drives," said Lee, a senior catcher.

Mililani (12-3) amassed 22 hits, including nine doubles and three homers, against Castle (10-4).

"How do you stop Mililani? That was my whole question last night," said Castle coach Jon Berinobis, whose team was the East runner-up and ranked No. 8 by The Advertiser. "We didn't have the answer. They are champions. They are a softball factory over there."

It was Mililani's third OIA title in four years. The Trojans also won in 2007 and 2008. They lost to Roosevelt in last year's title game.

Lee, Kristi Oshiro and Senas have been a part of the Mililani varsity program for four years.

"Every year we come back and have to work twice as hard because we have a target on our back. Everyone wants to beat us, so we have to work harder," Lee said. "Our coaches keep us together."

Mililani, the West runner-up and ranked No. 5 in The Advertiser's Top 10 poll, will be the top-seeded team out of the OIA and will receive a first-round bye at the DataHouse Division I state tournament, May 11 to 14 at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
