UH astronomy institute receives $60,000 for fund
A $60,000 gift will be used to establish a new fund at the University of Hawaii-Manoa’s Institute for Astronomy.
The money came from an anonymous donor and will be used to support at the institute through the “2/10/50 A Starlit Walk into Eternity” fund.
“We are grateful to receive this very generous donation that will greatly benefit our students, astronomers, and staff at the Institute. It will also help us in our public outreach efforts, which have been enormously success,” said Institute for Astronomy director Rolf Kudritzki.
