Tau Dance Theater presents “Youth Slam & MEN DANCING!” 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hawaii Theatre.

Under the direction of Peter Rockford Espiritu, the performance includes young dancers from HIT’S Dance Space and Yuko Anami Ballet from Nagoya, Japan, as well as a premiere of the men’s section from Tau’s new dance drama epic, “POLI’AHU, goddess of Maunakea.” Highlights include performances by Minoru Harata from Tokyo and Stephen Blanchette from Bethel, Alaska.
