ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — A person familiar with negotiations says free agent defensive end Dwan Edwards has agreed to a four-year deal potentially worth close to $18 million with the Buffalo Bills.
The person spoke to The Associated Press early Wednesday morning on the condition of anonymity because the deal has not yet been announced by the Bills. Edwards is a six-year NFL veteran, who played his entire career with Baltimore.
Edwards missed the entire 2008 season with a neck injury. He bounced back last year, registering 56 tackles and two sacks in 18 games, including playoffs.
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds, Edwards visited the Bills headquarters Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Buffalo signed linebacker Andra Davis to a two-year deal.
