The green movement at the University of Hawai'i-Mänoa is taking over Kennedy Theatre this weekend for “Dancing Green: A Dance Concert with a Reduced Carbon Footprint.”

The performances by UH students are inspired by a desire to make eco-friendly changes so hula, ballet and contemporary dance have themes that emphasize the 'äina, sacred Hawaiian birds, bamboo forests and ocean resources.
The concert will be paperless, with the program projected, and sets and costumes made from recycled materials. Tonight’s 8 p.m. performance has a preshow chat beginning at 7, and tomorrow’s matinee starts at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $20 general; $18 for seniors, military and UH faculty and staff; $12 for students and $5 for students with validated UH ID and are available at www.etickethawaii.org or by phone at 944-2697.
More information is available at www.hawaii.edu/kennedy or by calling 956-7655.
