One thing that makes the new musical retelling of the Hans Christian Andersen tale so appealing is the stunning visual effects.

It's snowing again at the Hawai'i Theatre.

Based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale, "The Snow Queen: New Musical" is a one-hour retelling appropriate for kids from kindergarten through eighth grade, but adults might also enjoy the stunning visual effects, including glowing snowfall — as well as a glowing and levitating Hobgoblin.

Showtimes are 7 tonight and 2 p.m. tomorrow. Tickets are available at the Hawai'i Theatre box office, 528-0506, or www.hawaiitheatre.com at $15 general, and $10 for children, students, seniors, theater members and military with ID.
