Big Island woman, 88, dies of injuries suffered in May 19 car crash

An 88-year-old Paauilo woman died Wednesday of injuries suffered in a May 19 car crash, Hawaii County police said.
Beatrice Yago was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle that failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a car on Route 19.
Yago was taken to the North Hawaii Community Hospital. She died at 3:52 p.m. Wednesday.
No one else was injured in the collision.
Yago is the 16th traffic fatality on the Big Island this year, compared to 10 at the same time last year.
