Police this morning were continuing to look for at least two boys — and possibly as many as four — in connection with the beating of a 69-year-old Nanakuli woman at her home on Tuesday.

Police said the woman was in stable condition after being admitted to Hawaii Medical Center West for treatment of multiple facial and nasal fractures.
The incident marked the third time in less than a week that an older woman was assaulted while at home.
Mary Lee Koskinen, 85, and her caregiver, 40-year-old Matthew Edmondson, were found severely beaten in their home in Waialae Nui on Jan. 21 and were taken to The Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition. Two men were arrested and indicted in connection with the case.
Also on Tuesday, two men broke into a home on Kaumahana Place in Pearl City while the residents slept.
A 74-year-old woman was awakened about 2:45 a.m. by an alarm and confronted one of the intruders, who assaulted her. Both robbers ran out of the house when a second resident confronted them, police said.
Police this morning were continuing to look for suspects in the Pearl City case who wore camouflage clothing and masks, and were 20 to 30 years old. One man was described as 6 feet 2 to 6-4 and 200 pounds. The second man was described as 5-7 to 5-8 and 150 to 160 pounds.
Police said this morning that they do not believe the three incidents are related.
The victim in the latest case told police she was standing in the carport of her home on Hookele Street about 12:45 p.m. when two boys approached. One of them asked if “Ryan” was home and the woman said she did not know anyone named Ryan.
The woman told investigators the next thing she remembers is waking up in a chair in her living room, covered in blood. She said her dentures had been knocked out of her mouth.
Police said that as of yesterday, no items had been reported taken from the home and no suspects had been identified.
Police have yet to establish a motive and planned to talk with neighbors today.
