VILLANOVA, Pa. — Geno Auriemma even has to wonder at times if No. 1 Connecticut is really as great as its ever been or if the opposition is just that bad.

It was a little of both against inexperienced and overwhelmed Villanova.

Maya Moore scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help the Huskies thump Villanova, 74-35, yesterday for its 58th straight victory, all by double digits.

"I don't know whether it's just bad teams, bad players, bad offenses or we're just that good defensively," Auriemma said. "I have no idea. Really, no idea."

Tina Charles scored 14 points for the Huskies (19-0, 6-0 Big East), who have the second-longest winning streak in women's basketball history. They are 12 wins shy of the NCAA and school record set in 2001-03.

Maria Getty led the Wildcats (11-7, 0-5) with 11 points.

NO. 2 STANFORD 100, OREGON 80

Nnemkadi Ogwumike had 30 points and a school-record 23 rebounds as the visiting Cardinal (17-1, 7-0 Pac-10) slowly pulled away from a 54-50 halftime lead to defeat the Ducks (12-7, 3-4).

NO. 7 NEBRASKA 71, KANSAS STATE 56

Kelsey Griffin had 22 points and 12 rebounds, Yvonne Turner scored 20 points and the host Cornhuskers (17-0, 4-0 Big 12) held off the Wildcats (10-9, 2-3) before a school-record crowd of 13,303.

Danielle Adams had 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks, leading the host Aggies (15-2, 3-1 Big 12) over the Lady Raiders (13-5, 1-3).

Jessra Johnson scored 19 points and Christine Flores added 15 to help the host Tigers (11-7, 1-4 Big 12) hand the Bears (14-4, 1-3) their third loss in the last four games.

Ta'Shia Phillips and Special Jennings each scored 16 points, and the visiting Musketeers (14-3, 4-0 Atlantic 10) held off the Bonnies (14-6, 2-3).

NO. 13 OKLAHOMA 81, KANSAS 69

Nyeshia Stevenson scored 21 of her 22 points during an 8-minute stretch bridging the halves as the host Sooners (14-4, 4-1 Big 12) blew past the Jayhawks (11-7, 1-4) to give coach Sherri Coale her 300th career win.

ILLINOIS-CHICAGO 81, NO. 17 WISCONSIN-GREEN BAY 72

Jasmine Bailey scored 24 points and the host Flames (8-11, 5-3 Horizon League) handed the Phoenix (16-2, 5-2) their second straight loss.

NO. 19 GEORGETOWN 74, DEPAUL 65

Sugar Rodgers had 18 points and the host Hoyas (17-2, 6-0 Big East) used a 14-0 run to turn a 10-point deficit into a 19-15 lead and never trailed again in beating the Blue Demons (13-7, 2-4) for their 16th straight victory.

IOWA STATE 73, NO. 20 TEXAS 71

Kelsey Bolte scored 19 points, including a 3-pointer for a 73-70 lead with 1:04 left in overtime, as the visiting Cyclones (15-3, 3-2) upset the Longhorns (13-6, 2-3), who blew a 46-32 second-half lead.

NO. 23 TCU 81, UNLV 61

Emily Carter scored 19 points and the visiting Horned Frogs (14-4, 4-1 Mountain West) opened the second half with a 21-0 run to rally past the Lady Rebels (8-12, 1-5).

HAWAI'I PACIFIC 74, BYUH 65

Jazzmin Awa-Williams scored 18 points, Mana Hopkins 17 and Paris Gravely 11, leading the Sea Warriors (10-4, 6-0) past the Seasiders (4-10, 0-4) at Cannon Activities Center. Dara Tompkison scored 15 and Mahina Gago 13 for BYUH, which trailed 40-37 at halftime.

HAWAI'I-HILO 71, CHAMINADE 58

Natalie Mata and Kirsti Imai each scored 15 points, and Hotia Vaaimamao added 12 as Hilo (5-12, 2-4) beat Chaminade (1-11, 0-4) at McCabe Gym. Hilo hit 57 percent (16 of 28) of its shots in the second half when it outscored CU 46-28. Lynnette Dalle scored 16 points, Samantha Saito 15 and Jamie Higa 10 for CU.
