Sammy Hagar & The Wabos to play Maui, Oahu

Sammy Hagar, former lead singer for Van Halen, is coming to Hawai‘i for shows on Maui and Oahu, BAMP Project promoters announced today.
Hagar & The Wabos, his touring band, will perform April 9 at Castle Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center and April 17 at Pipeline Cafe.
Hagar already had a successful solo career when he replaced David Lee Roth as lead singer for Van Halen. Together the group created four multi-platinum albums “OU812” (1988), “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge” (1991), “Live: Right Here, Right Now” (1993), and “Balance” (1995).
With the Wabos, Hagar has produced four hit albums, “Red Voodoo,” “Ten 13,” “Not 4 Sale,” and “Livin' It Up!”
Tickets go on sale for MACC Members and Sammy Hagar Fan Club at 10 a.m. tomorrow. General Public Tickets on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. Maui show tickets are $65, $55, and $45 and can be purchased at the MACC Box office, online at www.mauiarts.org and by phone at (808) 242-SHOW (7469).
