Have a great story about your mom?
Do you have a sweet, silly or profound story about your mom you'd like to share? Maui playwright Pat Masumoto welcomes submissions for "My Mama Monologues," a play-reading that celebrates true stories about mothers.
Men, women and children worldwide are invited to submit stories about their mothers. The play-reading is scheduled to debut on Mother's Day on Maui, and other venues throughout the state and nation are also producing the show.
Last year's premiere "My Mama Monologues" included stories from as far away as England, about mothers from places as remote as the Andes and born as long ago as 1897. For details and instructions, visit www.mymamamonologues.com. The deadline for submissions is Thursday.
