Maui marathon: Maui's 2nd Annual Maui Oceanfront Marathon, Jan. 24, starts in Wailea, runs through South Kíhei, then along the coast to Kamehameha Iki Park in Lahaina. A marathon walk, half marathon, Maui 15K and Maui 5K runs are also available. The event is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Entries: $50-$115.
