Japanese tourist who died in accident was Tokyo woman
The Honolulu Medical Examiners Office yesterday identified a Japanese tourist who was killed Friday in a single-car crash in Ka'a'awa as Yuko Okayama, 74, of Tokyo.
She was a passenger in a car that hit a guardrail post on Kamehameha Highway near Ka'a'awa Place Friday afternoon, police said.
No one else was seriously injured in the crash, and no other cars were involved.
Neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash, police said.
Okayama was declared dead at the scene.
