NEW YORK — After turmoil that included public squabbling, threats of a lineup change and a rehab stint, Aerosmith is back and ready to rock.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have announced their Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock summer tour in Europe — with Steven Tyler included.

The band made the announcement yesterday. It also posted a video on its Web site in which Tyler, sitting with the rest of the band, jokes: "I just auditioned and I got the gig."

Aerosmith, one of rock's enduring bands over the past three decades, has been in limbo since Tyler fell off a stage during an August concert in South Dakota, injuring himself and forcing the band to cancel the rest of its summer tour.

BRISTOL PALIN AWARDED CHILD SUPPORT

PALMER, Alaska — A judge yesterday approved child support for Bristol Palin and set a September trial date to force the issue along, while urging her and the father of her son to work out a resolution outside of the courtroom.

Judge Kari C. Kristiansen encouraged Palin and Levi Johnston, both 19, to work with a judge who specializes in such matters in a settlement conference and not go to trial. Kristiansen approved child support for Palin retroactive to the day the child was born. That amount still needs to be determined.

Bristol Palin, a daughter of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, is seeking nearly $1,700 a month in child support to care for son, Tripp.

DOUGLAS SON DENIED BAIL IN DRUG CASE

NEW YORK — Michael Douglas' troubled son Cameron was denied bail and a chance for outpatient addiction treatment yesterday as he awaits sentencing in a federal drug-dealing case.

Wearing dark-blue federal prison garb, the screen scion said nothing during the hearing at a Manhattan federal court. He briefly greeted his mother, Diandra, and other supporters as he was taken back to jail. His father did not attend the hearing.

Douglas, 31, pleaded guilty in January to selling large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine out of a trendy Manhattan hotel. He faces a minimum 10-year prison term at his April 14 sentencing.

KOENIG FOUND DEAD, APPARENTLY A SUICIDE

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — "Growing Pains" actor Andrew Koenig has been found dead and his father said his son "took his own life."

At a press conference in the downtown park where his body was found, police said foul play was not suspected, but would not release a cause of death until the coroner rules. Koenig, 41, was visiting friends in Vancouver when he disappeared more than a week ago.

His father is Walter Koenig, who played Pavel Chekov on the original "Star Trek" TV series.

L.A. SOCIALITE HEIRESS DIED OF DIABETES

LOS ANGELES — An autopsy has confirmed that Los Angeles socialite Casey Johnson died of a complication of diabetes.

The county coroner's report released yesterday concludes that the 30-year-old, an heir to the Johnson & Johnson health care products fortune, died of diabetic ketoacidosis. That's a life-threatening condition caused by lack of insulin and sky-high blood sugar.

The report said toxicological tests were negative for drugs.

Johnson, the daughter of New York Jets owner Robert "Woody" Johnson, was engaged to bisexual reality TV star Tila Tequila at the time of her death.

HOUSTON 'TERRIFIC,' BUT AUSSIES GRUMBLING

NEW YORK — Though video postings of her recent performances in Australia have been less than flattering, Whitney Houston says her tour is going great — and she's in great health.

Houston's publicist, Kristen Foster, released a statement yesterday, saying: "Whitney is in great health and having a terrific time on her tour and with her fans." She said more than 9,000 people attended Houston's show in Brisbane and that more than 12,000 were at Acer Arena in Sydney.

That statement contrasts with news reports quoting disgruntled fans complaining about the star's voice and performance.

Video snippets of Houston struggling to hit notes in concerts in Sydney and Brisbane have circulated widely on YouTube and other outlets.
