A University of Hawaii advisory council is recruiting candidates to fill the Hawaii County seat on the school’s governing Board of Regents.

The move follows the resignation of Hilo businessman Harvey Tajiri from the board.
Tajiri’s term runs through June 2013. The deadline for applications is March 15.
The Regents Candidate Advisory Council said yesterday that information on how to apply or nominate a candidate is available at www.hawaii.edu/rcac.
