ARTafterDark returns to the Honolulu Academy of Arts Friday for its first art party of 2010.

The theme for this month’s event is “Mad for Modern” and will include docent led zip tours of the Academy’s spring show “From Whistler to Warhol: Modernism on Paper” at 6:30 and 7 p.m.; a live video installation from Joseph Paahana of the Drop Shadows; free figure sketches by artist Lauren Roth, photographic portraits by Academy Orvis Artist-in-Residence Elizabeth Curtis, as well as food, music and drink.
ArtafterDark runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free for Academy members and $10 for everyone else. For more information, visit www.artafterdark.org.
