Defending champions Konawaena and Moloka'i earned the top seeds for this week's Hawaiian Airlines/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Girls Basketball State Championships.

Konawaena is the top seed in Division I and Moloka'i is the top seed in Division II. First-round action begins on Tuesday at various high school sites on O'ahu. The championship games will be held at the Blaisdell Arena on Friday. The Division II final starts at 5 p.m. with the Division I final to follow.
