Honolulu police investigating injuries to baby girl
Honolulu police are investigating injuries to a 5-month-old girl, including a broken thigh bone.
The infant was taken to Kapiolani Medical Center by the baby’s mother about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after she became concerned about swelling in the girl’s left leg.
The baby was then diagnosed with a fractured femur, police said. They said it was not immediately known how the infant was inured.
Police classified the incident as a case of second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree.
