Akaka bill will be debated at UH-Mānoa law school
Ilya Shapiro, editor-in-chief of the Cato Supreme Court Review, and University of Hawai'i-Mānoa law professor Jon Van Dyke will debate the Akaka bill tomorrow at William S. Richardson School of Law at the UH-Mānoa campus.
The debate is scheduled to take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in Classroom 4.
Shapiro and Van Dyke will discuss the status of the Akaka bill under President Obama and what enactment will mean for Native Hawaiians.
The event is organized by the Federalist Society Hawaii Student Chapter.
