Punahou Carnival offers rides, food and more

There’s something funky going on at Punahou School today, courtesy of the Makiki private school’s junior class.
The class is in charge of the annual Punahou carnival, one of the largest community events in town. This year the carnival is themed “That ’70s Carnival.”
Head to the campus entrance at the corner of Punahou Street and Wilder Avenue to get in. Admission is free, but you’ll want to bring your wallet to pick up malassadas, Hawaiian plates, books and art — and to go on rides and play games.
The carnival is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
