Colorado visitor hospitalized after being found off Poipu

A 62-year-old visitor from Colorado Springs was admitted to Wilcox Hospital after being found face-down in the water about 3:14 p.m. fronting the Lāwa‘i Beach Resort.
The man had been snorkeling about 20 feet offshore with family members when his brother noticed that he was motionless, Kauai County officials said.
His brother brought him to shore and bystanders performed CPR. Firefighters from the Koloa station arrived and took over CPR.
