Save Our Schools Hawaii says it will mark today's 15th furlough Friday by erecting 15 symbolic grave markers on the lawn of the state Capitol.
The group, which earlier this month staged sit-ins in Gov. Linda Lingle's office to protest teacher furlough days, is calling the display "Hawaii's Educational Cemetery" and said a ceremony will be held at 2 p.m.
