The city departments of Emergency Management and Facility Maintenance and Hawaii State Civil Defense will be testing an outdoor warning siren located at Ala Wai Community Park Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.

The siren is on the corner of Kapiolani Boulevard and McCully Street.

The test is being conducted to ensure that the siren is operating at full power and providing optimal range.

Residents and businesses in the surrounding communities may hear several 20-second soundings during the testing period.
