CFB Greg McElroy is Alabama's top male student-athlete

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Quarterback Greg McElroy and gymnast Kassi Price have been named the University of Alabama's Paul W. Bryant Award winners.
McElroy is the son of Greg McElroy Sr., who played offensive line for the University of Hawai'i in 1977 and 1978.
The award is given annually to the top male and female student-athlete.
McElroy, who guided the Crimson Tide football team to the national title, earned his undergraduate degree in three years and is in graduate school in sports administration. He is a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll
Price won the inaugural NCAA Elite 88 award for women's gymnastics, given to the top student at each of the NCAA's championships. The three-year All-American and two-time Academic All-American has a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a double major in marketing and advertising.
