Nobody could say people walk all over Mel Brooks. Until now.

The comedian, actor and producer who gave the world "Blazing Saddles," "Young Frankenstein" and "The Producers" got a star yesterday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Brooks received the 2,406th star during a ceremony in front of the Egyptian Theatre. His son, Max, and friend, Carl Reiner, attended.

Brooks, 83, has won Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.

He's working on a musical version of "Blazing Saddles."

REALITY TV ROCKER HAS BRAIN HEMORRHAGE

Bret Michaels is in critical condition suffering from a brain hemorrhage, his publicist said yesterday.

Joann Mignano, Michaels' New York-based publicist, confirmed a report on People magazine's website that said the former Poison frontman was rushed to intensive care late Thursday after a severe headache. The report said doctors discovered bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

The 47-year-old glam-rock reality TV star had an emergency appendectomy at a private care facility for diabetics last week after complaining of stomach pains before he was scheduled to perform at Sea World in San Antonio.

STAR OF 'DEXTER' RECOVERED FROM CANCER

The wife of Michael C. Hall says the "Dexter" star is "fully recovered" from cancer and has returned to work.

Jennifer Carpenter said yesterday that Hall was "incredibly brave" when he announced in January that he was undergoing treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma, a cancer that attacks the lymph nodes.

The 38-year-old Hall went into remission and continued treatment at a health facility near Los Angeles.

Hall won a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe Award earlier this year for his portrayal of Dexter, a serial killer who targets other murderers. Carpenter stars on the bloody Showtime hit series as Dexter's seemingly unknowing sister.

RIVERDALE WELCOMES FIRST GAY CHARACTER

Riverdale High is getting its first gay character.

Archie Comics announced Thursday that in an issue out Sept. 1, the long-running comic will introduce its first "openly gay" character, Kevin Keller.

The strapping blond will defeat Jughead in a burger-eating contest, win the affection of Veronica and wrestle over how to gently rebuff her flirtations.

Jon Goldwater, co-CEO of Archie Comics, says the introduction of Kevin is "about keeping the world of Archie Comics current and inclusive."
