Bo Barnes, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, has signed a national letter of intent to join the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team.

Barnes averaged 17.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game this past season at Westwind Prep International in Phoenix.

He was also being recruited by Iowa State, Creighton and Virginia.

Barnes will be a freshman at Hawai'i next season, and will have four seasons of eligibility.

He is the fifth recruit to sign with the Rainbow Warriors for next season.

The others are Jordan Coleman, Vander Joaquim, Josten Thomas and Trevor Wiseman.
