The Hanapepe Road Bridge is closing Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon for repainting.

A Kauai County news release said community members will be repainting the historic bridge and sprucing up the nearby area as an Earth Day project. 

The Department of Parks and Recreation and Public Works will be providing the paint and disposing of the green waste and solid waste generated by the project.
