Book worms of all ages — from 12 to 80 — are welcome to Celebrate Reading: Book Club & Literature Festival, a free event 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa Art Auditorium.

Interested participants are asked to read at least a couple books from this year's reading list (see list below), then attend the event to discuss their reading and writing experience with the authors.

Writers attending are: Neal Shusterman, Terry Trueman, Chris McKinney, Rodney Morales, Lisa Linn Kanae, Patricia Wood, Robert Barclay, Linda Nagata, Kate Elliott, Nora Okja Keller, Mike Tsai, Brandy McDougall, Mahealani Perez-Wendt, Joe Tsujimoto and David Stannard; performance poet Kealoha and Hawaiian storyteller Nyla Fujii-Babb will also attend.

Choose between a dozen conversation options during three 45-minute breakout sessions at 10 a.m., 10:55 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Craft-conversation topics include writing poetry, writing the short story, writing from research, writing the novel, creating voice and writing science fiction.
