LAS CRUCES, N.M. — New Mexico State University guard Jahmar Young is in trouble with the law again.
Young was charged Sunday by Las Cruces police with battery on a peace officer. Details of the incident were not immediately available.
The 23-year-old Young was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center and released on bond.
Young was convicted in 2008 of battery and assault after an on-campus incident in which he was accused of exposing himself to a woman in campus housing the previous year. He accepted a plea deal that allowed him to avoid jail time.
The deal included a one-year deferred sentence, unsupervised probation, 15 hours of community service and a sexual harassment awareness course.
