New University of Hawaii-Manoa men's basketball coach Gib Arnold will receive a $5,000 bonus if the Rainbow Warriors win the Diamond Head Classic and $3,000 for "each sold out regular season game" (excluding the Classic) under terms of his agreement with the school, UH announced today.

The information was contained in a copy of an agreement between the two parties released after requests by The Advertiser and other parties.

Arnold said he will receive $240,000 per season for his three-year agreement.

A UH spokesman said the complete contract has yet to be executed.

Arnold was announced March 19 as the successor to Bob Nash, who was fired after three seasons and a 34-56 record.
