Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts decorated gravesites today at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl in preparation for tomorrow’s joint memorial service scheduled by the Oahu AJA Veterans Council.

The council consists of World War II veterans of the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Military Intelligence Service and 1399th Engineer Construction Battalion.
The joint memorial service - the fourth annual - honors the veterans’ fallen comrades, those killed in action as well as those who have died since.
Veterans of the units, their spouses, widows and family members as well as the public are invited to attend. Carpooling is recommended.
The service will begin at 9 a.m.
The Boy Scouts participating today were from Troops 39, 100, 216 and 304. The Cub Scouts were from Packs 39, 304 and 442.
