Boy, 14, arrested as suspect in robberies of younger boy
A 14-year-old Waipahu boy has been arrested as a suspect in two robbery incidents reported by a 13-year-old boy.
The younger boy told police that at 2:15 p.m. Sept. 1, and at the same time again on Sept. 19, the older boy approached him at a bus stop, raised a fist above his head and demanded money.
The younger boy told police he gave up his money on both occasions, and that the older boy ran away each time.
Police said school officials located the suspect at school on Tuesday.
He was identified as a suspect in the two cases and arrested on two counts of suspicion of second-degree robbery.
The suspect was later released to his parents pending further investigation.
