ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Bills starting right tackle Brad Butler needs surgery to repair his right knee and will miss the rest of the season.
Without revealing the nature of the injury, coach Dick Jauron announced the news Monday, a day after Butler was hurt in a 33-20 win over Tampa Bay.
Butler was hurt late in the first half when Buccaneers defensive lineman Stylez White rolled into the back of Butler's legs while attempting to strip the ball from quarterback Trent Edwards. Butler was unable to put much weight on his right leg as he was helped off the field by trainers, before being carted from the sideline.
The Bills (1-1) host the New Orleans Saints (2-0) on Sunday.
