RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina State's Russell Wilson has broken the NCAA record for consecutive passes without an interception.
Wilson set the mark late in the third quarter of the Wolfpack's 45-14 rout of Gardner-Webb on Saturday night. His 13-yard pass over the middle to James Washington was his 326th straight without being picked off.
He later extended his pick-free streak to 329 with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Jarvis Williams — his career-high-tying fourth of the game. He finished with career highs of 26 completions, 36 attempts and 345 yards.
Wilson surpassed the mark set by Kentucky's Andre Woodson from 2006-07.
