NBA: Knicks sign free agent guard Sun Yue

NEW YORK— The New York Knicks have signed free agent guard Sun Yue.
Team president Donnie Walsh announced the deal on Thursday without disclosing terms.
The 6-foot-9, 205-pound Sun averaged 0.6 points, 0.2 assists and 2.8 minutes as a rookie last season.
The Lakers selected the 23-year-old native of Hebei, China, in the second round, 40th overall, of the 2008 draft.
He also played in the NBA Development League last season, averaging 9.8 points, 3.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds for the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
Sun started all six games for China at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
