Hilo airport to receive $1.3 million for repairs on runways

Hilo International Airport will receive two grants totaling $1.3 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation for runway construction, U.S. Sen. Daniel K. Inouye’s office said today.
The airport will receive a grant totaling $1,028,793 to construct two connecting taxiways and an additional grant for $276,886 to rehabilitate three taxiways at the airport.
