Preps: Kentucky school cancels football game due to swine flu

ALEXANDRIA, Ky. — A small high school in northern Kentucky has canceled a football game after a player was diagnosed with swine flu.
Bishop Brossart school officials told the Kentucky Enquirer on Wednesday that it would cancel Friday's game at Elizabethtown due to a player having a confirmed case of the illness. Brossart principal Richard Stewart says other players on the team have similar symptoms.
Stewart says one of his main concerns is that players would be in a confined area for an extended time. He says he didn't "want to put a bunch of sick kids on a bus and send them all the way down and all the way back."
Brossart, in Alexandria, has 374 students and its football team is in Class 1A, Kentucky's smallest.
