The city will be conducting smoke testing to find where water is entering the wastewater collection system in the Enchanted Lake area today through Friday and Sept. 22-25.

Crews will be checking for broken pipes, illegal connections and other paths for water, including rainwater, to enter the wastewater system in the Hele Street basin. Runoff from heavy rain can overwhelm the system and treatment plant, causing spills.

Streets being tested are Apokula, Auwaiku, Hele, Humu'ula, Kaluli, Kina, Kupau, Ku'una, Liku, Lekeona, Loho, Mapuana, Mowai, Naniali'i and 'Oni'oni. Tests will also take place on Keolu Drive and Humuwili, Kupau, Ku'una, Mapuana, Noninui and Onaona places.
