Donovan McNabb limped to the locker room with a cracked rib in the Philadelphia Eagles' 38-10 rout of Carolina yesterday.
A dominant performance by the Eagles was tempered by concerns about McNabb, who cracked a single rib when he was crunched by several defenders on his 3-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
He didn't immediately get up after the touchdown, and was attended to by Eagles trainers before eventually leaving the field on his own.
"He's sore right now. He's got a broken rib," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "We'll just see how he does over the next little bit."
Reid wouldn't rule out McNabb, who did not speak to reporters, from playing next week against New Orleans.
While he was on the ground, suspended quarterback Michael Vick was captured on TV standing in a stadium suite to watch McNabb.
McNabb was replaced by Kevin Kolb.
SEAHAWKS
TWO LBS TAKE HIT
Seattle lost two of its three starting linebackers when outside linebacker Leroy Hill and middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu left the game against St. Louis.
Seattle coach Jim Mora thinks the injuries are "very minor" and left no reason to think either won't play next week at San Francisco.
Hill, out with a groin injury, spent Seattle's third defensive series of the first quarter on a training table getting his left leg checked by doctors.
Tatupu left in the third quarter with a hamstring injury, after Seattle had built a 21-0 lead.
