Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sit on the jury for a murder trial and have a life-or-death decision in your hands?

The Actors Group is giving audience members a chance to render a "guilty" or "not guilty" decision in its clever upcoming production "The Night of January 16th." The entire jury will be made up of 12 audience members, and attorneys who attend can also test their jury-reading skills by writing on the back of their business card what they predict the jury verdict will be and dropping it in a bowl at intermission.

The lawyers who read the jury correctly will have their business cards posted in the theater lobby.

As for the play's plot, it has a Bernie Madoff feel to it: An investor who has swindled millions of dollars is now facing bankruptcy despite a loan from the wealthy father of his new wife. On the night of Jan. 16, he and his mistress of 10 years are in the penthouse at the top of the Faulkner Building in New York when he falls to his death. Suicide or murder? You decide. The ending changes based on the audience-comprised jury's findings. Check it out at www.taghawaii.net or call 722-6941 for tickets ....
