Honolulu firefighters have returned to the site of Waianae Valley brushfire this morning to conduct mop-up work and check for flare-ups.
Fire Capt. Terry Seelig said in an e-mail that 20 firefighters are at the scene along with three engines, two tankers, one quint, a helicopter and an aircraft tender.
The fire was contained at 8:30 last night and there were no reports of flare-ups overnight. But several hot spots remain within the burned out area, Seelig said.
The fire consumed about 100 acres. There was no property damage and no injuries reported.
